THISTLES WRAPS UP EASTER WEEKEND TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL EARTH DAY

Following the centre’s Easter themed fun, Thistles’ Wolf Pack gets ready to do its bit to save the planet on Sunday

Thistles shopping centre in Stirling is packing up its Easter basket after welcoming families to join in on its fun-filled Burrow Bakery events over the course of the Easter break, ready to welcome back the Wolf Pack on Sunday 24 April.

The centre, which is known for its engaging kids activities, welcomed 562 children during the second week of the Easter holidays as they took part in five days of creative activities.

With a different focus each day the Burrow Bakery kept everyone entertained, from giving kids the opportunity to make their very own chocolate bars, through to crafting egg hunt baskets, bunny wands, making delicious cookies and more.

With the Burrow Bakery events all wrapped up, Thistles is set to host its latest event for children across Stirling and Forth Valley on Sunday 24 April. This month, the Wolf Pack will be celebrating National Earth Day, with Wolf Packers encouraged to make their very own pledges to make the planet a better place. Participants will also get to make a clay impression with leaves, flowers and other sustainable materials, before taking home their own twisted balloon tree or flower.

Located outside HMV in the city-centre shopping mall from 12 – 4pm on Sunday 24 April, families are encouraged to come along to the Wolf Pack Kids’ Club and help make a positive impact in tackling climate change. The Wolf Pack events run on the last Sunday of every month until Sunday 27 November and are completely free to attend.

Gary Turnbull, Centre Director at Thistles said: “We’re excited to keep the constant stream of free events flowing at Thistles, providing children of all ages with fun ways to spend school holidays and weekends. The Burrow Bakery was a great addition to the centre over the Easter period, with lots of families taking part in some of the exciting activities available.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming back our Wolf Pack Kids’ Club this weekend to celebrate National Earth Day. With each Wolf Pack event focusing on a new theme, we hope to see as many families as possible come along to join in on Sunday.”
