GROW FOR IT THIS EASTER AT THISTLES
– The Little Sprouts Gardening Club is free for green-fingered kids to enjoy this Easter –
In the run up to Easter, Thistles shopping centre in Stirling is set to launch five fun-filled days of free events for families during the school holidays. From 3 – 7th April, budding gardeners can let their creative side flourish at the Thistles Little Sprouts Gardening Club.
Taking place outside Next, the Little Sprouts Gardening Club will host a different activity each day between 12pm and 4pm. After wandering down the shopping centre path and through the tassel arch entrance, kids will arrive at the magical garden to experience a bug’s eye view surrounded by oversized blades of grass and a troop of cute and crimson toadstools. For five glorious green days, Thistles has called on help from the garden-patch gang to host a fun packed interactive week of crafty events that all champion sustainability while using a bucket-load of biodegradable materials.
Kicking off the green-fingered fun on 3 April, kids are in for a treat as they will get to take home a yummy snack after putting their decorative skills to the test designing their very own toadstool cupcakes. Throughout the week there will be an array of different crafty challenges including: mossy bird box building, an apron making workshop, maca-zoom snail macaroons and the chance to make your own egg box mini gardens.
Gary Turnbull, Centre Director at Thistles, said: “We’re excited to bring the Little Sprouts Gardening Club to Thistles for the Spring holidays. With a fantastic selection of activities, there’s something to keep everyone entertained throughout the week and allow their creativity to blossom. At Thistles, we pride ourselves on hosting a variety of free events focusing on a range of educational topics to add to the selection of retail and food and drink outlets we have throughout the mall.”
The Little Sprouts Gardening Club is free of charge to attend and operates on a first come, first served basis with no need to pre-book. The gardening club is the latest of the shopping centre’s efforts to offer free visitor experiences and follows the Thistles Wolf Pack monthly kids’ club occurring on the last Sunday of each month, which champions sustainability through creative activities.
