Thistles Stirling kicked off a summer of football fun as World Cup fever landed in the city centre, with Scotland taking place on the global stage for the first time since 1998.

To mark the occasion, Thistles unveiled a brand-new football-themed installation in the mall, giving shoppers and families the chance to soak up the atmosphere and get involved in a packed programme of free activities for all ages.

Football freestyler Ross Brown brought his incredible skills to the centre with live shows and demonstrations with younger football fans also encouraged to get stuck in and try out some moves of their own.

Thistles also welcomed  Stirling Albion FC for a football sticker swap shop and kids’ activities, giving families the chance to come together, trade stickers, take part in fun football themed activity and enjoy the buzz of the World Cup in the heart of Stirling.

Gary Turnbull, Centre Director at Thistles, said: “There’s nothing quite like a major football tournament to bring people together, and we’re excited to celebrate the World Cup here at Thistles.

“From our new football installation to freestyle shows with Ross Brown and family activity with Stirling Albion FC, there will be plenty happening in-centre for shoppers and football fans of all ages to enjoy.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming families into Thistles to get involved, have fun and feel the energy of the tournament this summer.”
