Parking at Thistles? We’ve made some improvements, here’s all you need to know…
When visiting Thistles from Thursday 24th March, you might notice a few changes in our Car Park as it is now monitored by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Systems.
The use of Automatic Number Plate Recognition Systems means that on entrance and exit an ANPR Camera will read your license plate and log your vehicle on the system’s database meaning you will no longer receive a ticket.
Only in the unlikely event that the system cannot read your number plate, will you be issued a ticket.
Once finishing your visit to Thistles and when you wish to leave the Car Park, the easiest way to pay for your parking is to pay by card at the exit barrier. ANPR Systems will recognise your licence plate and charge you for the appropriate length of stay.
You also still have the option of paying by card at one of the pay stations which can be found in the Car Park. Simply input your vehicle registration number at the pay station and it will charge you for the appropriate length of stay.
Please note we will no longer be accepting cash as a method of payment – only card.
If the ANPR Camera is unable to read you license plate, a paper ticket will be issued and you would need to pay by card at one of the pay stations.

Parking is a doddle at Thistles. We have two safe and secure car parks and over 1,300 spaces. Both car parks are easy to access, are clean and well-lit with regular security patrols and 24-hour CCTV monitoring. The centre has a total of 35 disabled spaces and family parking bays are also available for customers.
51 extra-wide spaces can be found on level 3 of our T1 Car park.

T1 Car Parking will take you near our Next store and T2 Car Parking will take you near to our Primark store.
